What this policy does is set out how we do business and what rights we both have should things not work out properly. We hope this will never happen and we’ll really go out of our way to ensure that it doesn’t, most of the issues that cause either us or you trouble are down to communication, the more we talk and discuss things the better we will understand each other and thus the less likely we are to run into problems.
This agreement is between you [the client] and Edge Designs.
By placing an order with Edge Designs, you confirm that you are in agreement with and bound by the terms and conditions laid out below.
Edge Designs will carry out work only where an agreement is provided either by email, telephone or mail. An ‘order’ is deemed to be a written or verbal contract between Edge Designs and the client, this includes telephone and email agreements.
These Terms and Conditions will be updated by Edge Designs on an ongoing basis, if any of the updates take place during the time that these Terms and Conditions are applicable to you then you will be notified by email.
Estimates are given as a ball park figure and are not quotes, they are based on upon anticipated hours of work and previous experience with similar projects and are not binding until a firm quotation has been issued. Estimates may be given over the phone, by email or in writing.
A quotation is firm unless otherwise specified. It will always be accompanied a Project Scope, If changes are made that fall outside of the project scope then they will be charged for accordingly, any additional charges will always be confirmed by email.
The Project Scope will be drawn up at the beginning of the project and will be the basis off which the quotation is created. It is at the discretion of Edge Designs whether additional work proposed by you [The Client] is outside of the Project Scope and thus charged for in addition to the original quotation.
All works created by Edge Designs are protected from the moment they are created, under the 1976 copyright act. Until Edge Designs transfers ownership rights in writing, all creative work remains the property of Edge Designs. This generally be in the form of an email at the end of the project after all work has been completed and the final payment has been received.
The ultimate responsibility of proofing is always yours [the clients].
Any content or copyright liability, either pre-empted or arising, will at all times remain the sole responsibility of you [the client]
The ultimate responsibility for all content created in your [the clients] name remains with you [the client]
Unless otherwise written, all payment will be on a 50/50 basis, with 50% due on commencement and 50% due on completion.
Any printing must be paid for prior to printing.
Credit or other terms may be extended at the discretion of Edge Designs, full conditions will be included if alternative terms are offered
All invoices must be paid with 15 days of the invoiced date, any failure to do this on the clients part may incure extra charges and or removal of any unpaid work that Edge Designs has completed for the client.
Edge Designs reserves the right to charge a maximum of 1.5% of the overdue invoiced amount per day for every day after the initial 15 days payment period up until the date the invoice is paid.
Edge Designs retains ownership of all work created in the name of the client until ownership is transferred to the client, this generally be done by email after the final balance has been paid by you [the client].
During the creation of your [the clients] online media, every effort will be taken to provide a search engine friendly end product. However, Edge Designs offers no guarantee on position or inclusion in any search engine.
